Selecting the right reflectors for e-scooters

E-scooter reflectors are often attached to fairings, forks, or the rear. Many designs are model-dependent and vary depending on the series or generation. Therefore, before ordering, compare the model name, installation location, shape, and dimensions with your existing component.

Rigid reflectors or reflective tape?

  • Rigid reflectors: Molded parts must fit the intended mount, fairing, or attachment point. Also check whether a left or right version is required.
  • Reflective tapes and stickers: Note the dimensions, contour, and intended position. The adhesive surface should be clean, dry, and undamaged.

Consider color and direction of visibility

Since May 1, 2026, e-scooters in Austria have been required by the Road Traffic Act (StVO) to be equipped with white, forward-facing reflectors or reflective tape, red versions facing the rear, and yellow versions facing the side. Therefore, choose the color and position according to the intended direction of visibility.
