What do instalments cost?
Up to 3 instalments, you pay nothing extra with Klarna. Longer terms incur interest – here is an example calculation to give you an idea of the amounts. Only the checkout figures are binding.
Non-binding calculation example. The interest rates mentioned here are approximate values for guidance and do not constitute a commitment to terms; the actual interest rate, term, and installment amount depend on the partner's credit assessment and may vary. The binding terms will be provided by the payment partner during checkout or in the credit application before you finalize. On the product page, you can see the benchmark value for the respective bike, calculated using the same formula.
Frequently asked questions
Can I pay for my e-bike in installments at FADU Bike?
Yes. At checkout, you can select Klarna and split your purchase into monthly installments – up to 36 months. Pay in 30 days and pay in 3 installments are interest-free, while longer terms are subject to interest. Alternatively, you can apply for an online loan from Santander Consumer Bank and shop with us as usual.
How many monthly installments will I receive?
Klarna decides this after an automatic check at checkout, not FADU Bike. Terms of up to 36 months are possible. For some customers, 6 or 12 months are offered, for others more – and in individual cases, no installment option at all. You will see your actual options, including the interest rate, directly at the checkout before you place your order.
Is 0% financing available?
Yes, but only for short payment terms: "Pay in 30 days" and paying in 3 installments via Klarna are interest-free. Interest applies to longer terms. Klarna determines the amount – our calculation example above provides a typical range, but it is non-binding. You will see the exact rate at checkout before you place your order.
What are the requirements I need to meet?
For Klarna, all you need is a place of residence in Austria, a minimum age of 18, and a positive credit check – without documentation and without prior registration. For the Santander loan, you additionally need a regular income with proof (at least one to three months with your current employer), an active SEPA bank account, and a valid photo ID or residence permit.
What is the difference between Klarna and Santander?
Klarna is part of our checkout process: you select the payment method when ordering, and everything happens in one go. Santander is a classic online loan – you apply for it directly with the bank, the money is deposited into your account, and you make your purchase with us just like a cash buyer. The Santander option is worthwhile if you wish to finance a larger amount or multiple purchases at once.
Can I pay it back early?
Yes. With both Klarna and Santander, you can make early repayments in full or in part at any time. Interest will then only be charged for the actual duration of the loan. The exact terms and conditions can be found in your contract with the respective partner.
At what price does installment payment become worthwhile?
We display the installment payment notice for purchases from 300 euros. Below that amount – for items such as accessories, helmets, or locks – financing rarely makes economic sense. It is available for our e-scooters from 289 euros and all e-bikes.
What happens in the event of a complaint or return?
Your rights with respect to FADU Bike remain unchanged – warranty and return rights apply just as they would with any other payment method. In the event of a reversal via Klarna, the installment plan will be adjusted or cancelled accordingly. With a Santander loan, we will refund the purchase price to you; the loan agreement with the bank continues independently of this until you pay it off.
Are the displayed monthly installments binding?
No. All installment and interest rate information on our product pages and on this page are non-binding guidelines intended to give you an estimate of the scale. It only becomes binding when Klarna displays the specific terms during checkout or when you enter into the credit agreement with Santander. Only then will you see the actual interest rate, the actual term, and the total amount.
