KuKirin builds e-scooters in three clearly defined performance classes, and that is exactly what determines whether or not you are allowed to ride the vehicle in traffic in Vienna. In this category, you will find three KuKirin models starting at € 299: the compact S1 Max for everyday commutes, the full-suspension G2 Pro, and the G2 Master with dual motor for use off public roads. Consultation and test rides are available at our shop in Vienna.
The three models cater to different riding profiles. The most important dividing line is not price, but the design speed: in Austria, a vehicle is only considered an e-scooter within the meaning of the Road Traffic Act (StVO) if it has a maximum speed of 25 km/h and 600 watts.
| Model | Motor | Design speed | Range (manufacturer specification) | Area of use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| KuKirin S1 Max | 350 W, 36 V, 10.4 Ah | 25 km/h | up to 39 km | City riding, commuting with connections to public transport |
| KuKirin G2 Pro (StVO version) | 600 W, 48 V, 15.6 Ah | 25 km/h | up to 58 km | Daily commuting, longer distances, uneven surfaces |
| KuKirin G2 Master | 2 × 1000 W, 52 V, 20.8 Ah | up to 60 km/h | up to 70 km | Private property and off-road |
In Austria, an e-scooter is legally treated the same as a bicycle as long as it adheres to the statutory limits. If these are exceeded, it is no longer an e-scooter, but a motor vehicle requiring registration.
For use on public roads, the required equipment must be present: an effective braking system, a bell or horn, reflectors (white at the front, red at the rear, and yellow on the sides), a headlight and taillight for darkness or poor visibility, and turn signals at the ends of the handlebars. You can find any missing components under E-scooter lights and E-scooter front lights.
We provide an overview of all road-legal vehicles in our range under E-scooters up to 25 km/h. If you are looking for a faster but legally approved vehicle, the E-moped category is the right place.
The amendment to the Road Traffic Act (StVO) has tightened the requirements for e-scooters. Three points directly affect KuKirin riders:
Furthermore: one person per vehicle, use of cycle paths is required just as with bicycles, and riding longitudinally on sidewalks is prohibited. There is no compulsory insurance in Austria.
KuKirin is one of the brands for which we keep spare parts permanently in stock. This applies exactly to the components that tend to fail first in everyday use: controllers, displays, light switches, brake discs, and tires for the G2 Pro, G2 Master, G3 Pro, and G4.
Accessories such as locks, phone mounts, and kickstands can be found under E-scooter accessories.
You don't buy an e-scooter based on a datasheet, but rather by the feeling you get after the first hundred meters. That's why you can view our models in our shop in Vienna and get advice on legal requirements before you make your decision.
Models with a design speed of up to 25 km/h and a maximum of 600 watts are approved. This applies to the S1 Max and the 25 km/h version of the G2 Pro. The G2 Master and the 45 km/h version of the G2 Pro may not be operated on public roads.
Entry-level models start at € 299. The price increases based on motor power, battery capacity, and suspension. You can see the current price for each model directly in the product overview on this page.
Yes, turn signals at the ends of the handlebars have been mandatory since May 1, 2026, flashing yellow at 90 ± 30 flashes per minute. For you as a buyer of a new vehicle, this involves no additional effort: all e-scooters arriving on the market are already delivered with factory-fitted, standard-compliant indicators. Signals on a helmet or fender do not meet the requirement.
For persons under 16, yes. Adults can decide for themselves. However, a helmet is still highly recommended: the small wheels react more sensitively to rails and curbs than those of a bicycle, and falls usually happen forward over the handlebars.
The G2 Pro has a 600 W motor at 48 V and is road-legal in its 25 km/h version. The G2 Master runs on two 1000 W motors at 52 V with hydraulic suspension, reaches speeds of up to 60 km/h, and is therefore a vehicle for private property.
Yes. We permanently stock controllers, displays, switches, brake discs, fenders, and tires for the G2 Pro, G2 Master, G3 Pro, and G4. You can find an overview under KuKirin spare parts.
